Tourism
- Climate
- Nature
- Society
The thousands of tourists who climb Peru’s Machu Picchu every month bring in a lot of money, but they also put a tremendous strain on the local ecosystem and community. The same is true of the way we travel around the world. If we want to be more sustainable, we must change how we travel. Do you want to help find solutions? Then the English-taught Tourism bachelor’s programme is where you want to be.
What will you study during this Bachelor’s?
You learn about tourism’s close connections to society, the economy, nature, and climate. The world is changing, and this demands we reshape how we travel. How should we reduce our fossil fuel use in travel? How could we reinvent our current modes of travel? This study is all about questions like these.
The Tourism bachelor’s programme is a joint degree offered by Breda University of Applied Sciences and Wageningen University & Research. You complete the first two years of your degree in Breda, the Dutch city of tourism, and finish in Wageningen, the Dutch hotspot for science and sustainability.
This is a fantastic combination and the best of both worlds. Expand your horizons and make the planet a better place!
