Are you all about animals? Do you like the idea of humans and animals living side by side so they can both live their best lives? Then the Animal Sciences bachelor’s programme is for you.

What will you study during this Bachelor’s?

You will be studying animals that play a vital role in our modern society. Using a scientific perspective, you explore the different functions that domesticated animals and fisheries can have, like for food production, as companions, in sports, in waste management, nature conservation, education or in recreation. During the programme, you will study how we can coexist with animals, and examine how this could be done better, more sustainably or more responsibly. You learn to think in a solution-oriented way and develop methods to optimally care for and manage animals.

With Animal Sciences, you can change the future for animals and their environments, locally and globally.

Why this programme?

  • In this English-taught programme, you will learn about how animals interact with their environment. For example, how does the environment affect animals’ behaviour, growth, and welfare?
  • Understand the natural processes in animals, like respiration, the physiological function of hormones, digestion, and circulation.
  • Create sustainable solutions to social problems in animal husbandry. This topic is particularly pressing!
